BMW DIY Guide -
How To Properly Remove Your BMW Emblem
Last edited/updated on 8/31/04

Removing your BMW emblem can be a little tricky, but with the proper technique, you can remove your BMW's emblem without damaging your BMWs body, or paint. Folloow the guidelines below to prevent damage to your BMW:

  • The BMW badge is inserted into grommets that are located at the 9 and 3 o'clock positions.
  • With the tip of a thin blade screwdriver covered with a thin rag insert the screwdriver blade underneath the badge.
  • Gently "lever" the screwdriver in several locations around the perimeter until the badge is up high enough where it can be pulled straight off.
