If you still have this Price by Jan 13-14th ill get one. any chance of knowing if the price will remain the same?
Ill be out of town till then leaving this week so no1 will be home to take it in my house. =(
anyone have installed pics of them on?
also what does the buffer stop do?...or what surves it purpose?
THanks-
*edit*
..found out the purpose of the buffer on your site:
"Description: OEM - BMW - E36 X-brace Buffer Stop - BMW E36 X-Brace Buffer Stop Addendum: This part requires that your x-brace has the welded bracket to take the buffer stop. Early production x-braces do NOT have the bracket welded on. The E36 X-brace "Buffer Stop" is a rectangular shaped piece of thick rubber that attaches to the front of the X-Brace toward the front end of the car. After installation it is only a fraction of an inch away from the engine's oil pan cooling fins. This small distance between the buffer and the cooling fins is by design to limit engine lifting and twisting. The purpose of the Buffer Stop is to eliminate "positive pitch condition". The Buffer Stop limits the drive-line's mis-alignment by stopping or buffering the engine from twisting and lifting (due to its torque) beyond a certain point as referenced by where the Buffer Stop is mounted on the X-Brace. It compresses against the engine's oil pan cooling fins when the torque lifts and twists the engine beyond a 0 degree pitch line-up. It can only be mounted in one spot on the X-Brace so there is no adjustment for it's placement."
jus thought ide post it up.
still intrested in some pics tho, and anyone who as the buffer stop on if they can give me a lil feedback, that would be nice =)
ALSO...jus so im clear the purpose of the Xbrace is jus like a strut bar correct?
I have one x-brace kit in stock right now ready to ship out with or with out buffer stop.
The X-brace is suport that helps stiffen the car from the undercarriage of the chasis. It helps tighten up cornering and other manuevers that put strain on the chasis.
It is probably one of the best mods you can do to an E36, and it has been a best seller for years. There are many people in this very thread that have posted that they can tell an immediate difference in cornering with the brace.
A strut bar on the other hand mounts to the strut towers at the top of the engine bay. It also helps to stiffen the chasis, but in a different way.
Hope that helps!
