Hi I live in Washington, and I have a 2001 m3, it was originally a california car. I was wondering if there were any ways to free up more power by removing any equipment that may only be needed in cali. I do not have to do emissions tests where I live.

I live in Mt. Vernon, also.

As far as freeing up power, there are a lot of different ways: CAI, Shark, & cat-back are usually where people start. Maybe check out places like Turner Motorsports and AA for more stuff. You can go with LTW flywheel and S.C., but it starts getting expensive.
