I'm looking after a friend's BMW 318ti. I got the spare key and unlocked and opened the door....but eeeek! I now cannot get the key out of the door! It is like it is stuck and locked in there real good!
What did I do wrong? And how can I fix this? If possible!!

make sure the key is turned all the way to the left, and just try and work it out.
Spraying WD-40 into the lock may help out some too.

Just whatever you do, do not twist it as you can break the key and then your in big trouble...you may want to try some lubricant in there too...it may help..
Thanks! So you don't think this is a natural function of the car to "lock" the key in for some reason then? Like a security thing? You believe it is just stuck?

Itsprobably just stcuk...nothing locks the key inside the door or at least it shouldnt...
