Hi
I have a 2002 BMW 318i with 30 k on the clock which, on occasions but only when the engine is cold, suffers from a slight mis-fire at approx 2900 RPM when accelerating. The problem disappears when the engine warms up. Also on occasions when I start the engine it runs poorly as if it is firing on only 2 or 3 cylinders, stopping and restarting the engine clears this. I have had the car diagnosed on two occasions at a BMW main dealer they say the computer indicates no fault, they did change the coils as they are subject to recall, otherwise as it is an intermittent fault they don’t appear to be able to do anything else to help. Anyone has the same problem?
Mike
